PRAY FOR LIZ

Update ~ DECEMBER 2002

With mixed feelings I need to share that Liz has finished her battle with cancer. The week before Christmas 2002, Liz went to be with the Lord. Her cancer had been spreading, her condition worsening. There was nothing to be done to stop the progress of the disease. Knowing that she trusted in Jesus, we feel confident of where she is now, and know that she is well! This is a comfort, but she left a husband and four children behind, and for them life will never be the same again. Please pray for this family when you remember them. Liz was a homeschooling Mom and her own Mom has now assumed this responsibility. Can you imagine her grief and the huge responsibility this is for her. Thank you for the prayer.

Liz has been battling breast cancer that has now metastasized to the liver. Treatments have been stopped at this point. Her friend Barbara contacted me and asked that we pray for Liz. She is married, the wife of a pastor, and has five children that she is homeschooling.. some of the children are very young. Barbara said that Liz has extraordinary faith and strength, trusting her life and her family into the Lord's loving hands. Please pray for Liz, that she will be comfortable during the holiday season, that she will find special blessings during this precious time with her family. . .that the Lord will increase her strength and fill her with assurance, courage and great faith & hope. Dear Liz, may you have full assurance that God securely holds you in the palm of His hand.

SEPTEMBER 24, 2001
Friends, I have a very sketchy update on Liz. This information is 3rd person and I have asked for some more specific information, so that we might know how to pray for Liz. I have been told this morning that she is not doing well at all. She has asked for prayer for wisdom. I'm not sure at this point whether that concerns treatments of some sort, or what. As I receive some more solid info, I will post it here though. Please pray for Liz - God knows her and knows her every need right now.

FEBRUARY 6, 2002
It has been quite some time since we received any information on Liz's condition but this past week we learned that she is not doing well at all now. Liz is growing weaker and all treatments and attempts to beat the cancer back, seem not to have worked in her behalf. We have been reminded to pray for Liz and for her family, for peace and comfort.

Psalm 31:14-15a, 24
But as for me, I trust in Thee, O Lord, I say, "Thou art my God." My times are in Thy hand. Be strong and let your heart take courage, all you who hope in the Lord.
